Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach me at seaandcedarweddingco@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The main difference is when I step into the planning process and how much support you receive before the wedding.

With Coastal Coordination (1 Month + Day-Of), I begin working with you about 4 weeks before your wedding. During that time, I review your plans, confirm vendors, create your wedding day timeline, and take over communication so everything runs smoothly on the day of your wedding.

With Redwood Coast Coordination (2 Months + Day-Of), I step in earlier — about 8 weeks before your wedding. This gives us more time to finalize logistics, refine your timeline, review ceremony flow, troubleshoot any remaining details, and ensure all of the moving pieces come together well before the big day.

Couples who feel confident in their planning often choose Coastal Coordination, while couples who would like a bit more guidance and support during the final stretch of planning tend to choose Redwood Coast Coordination.

The Tide & Timber Elopement Package is for intimate ceremonies with 20 guests or fewer.  Services include up to 6 hours of on-site coordination, a simple event timeline, light décor placement, and day-of support for your officiant, photographer, and small group of guests.

The Coastal Coordination Package (1 Month +Day-Of) is for full wedding days with 20+ guests. It includes coordination for both the ceremony and reception, full vendor management, wedding party cueing, décor setup, and end-of-night wrap-up.

The Redwood Coast Package (2 Months+ Day-of) includes everything in day-of coordination, plus eight weeks of planning support, vendor communication, timeline creation, and rehearsal coordination.

In short:
Elopement = 1 month + day-of up to 6 hours
Day-Of = 1 month + full wedding day up to 10 hours
Month-Of = 2 month + full wedding day up to 10 hours + additional planning support

Yes! I coordinate weddings throughout Humboldt County, including Arcata, McKinleyville, Trinidad, Eureka, Ferndale, and surrounding areas.  Travel is included within 25 miles of McKinleyville.
Weddings beyond this radius may incur a $50–$75 travel fee depending on distance.

If your venue is farther out, I’m always happy to discuss travel/lodging options.

I typically arrive 3–4 hours before the ceremony to begin setup and vendor coordination.
For larger or more detailed weddings, I may arrive earlier. My goal is to be onsite before the first vendor arrives so everything flows smoothly from the very start.

Yes — I handle setup of simple to moderately detailed décor, such as:

  • personal items

  • signage

  • table settings

  • place cards

  • seating charts

  • small ceremony décor

  • welcome tables

More elaborate installations (arches, floral structures, hanging décor, etc.) may require the Décor Setup Add-On or a florist/venue team, depending on complexity.

Absolutely. Vendor communication is a major part of my role. I confirm arrival times, review details, answer questions, distribute timelines, and serve as the main point of contact throughout your wedding day. This allows you and your loved ones to be fully present without managing logistics.

If requested, the coordinator may provide a recommendation for a specific vendor (such as a photographer, florist, caterer, food truck, officiant, or venue). Recommendations are based on local availability and experience within Humboldt County and are intended as a helpful starting point only.

Yes — Sea + Cedar Wedding Coordination is a licensed business, and I carry professional liability insurance. Many venues require coordinators to be insured, so you’ll always be covered.

Most couples book 6–12 months in advance, especially for summer and fall weddings.
However, I also take last-minute bookings when my calendar allows — so it never hurts to reach out!
